Vermont EMS Week

Celebrate EMS week with a day on the State House lawn!

Emergency Medical Services systems across the country will be celebrating EMS Week from Sunday, May 15th through 21st, and Vermont is no exception.  EMS Week is an opportunity for agencies, districts and hospitals to highlight the importance of EMS in our communities and to thank EMS providers for their dedication and service.  To that end, the Vermont Department of Health will be hosting an EMS Day on the State House lawn on Tuesday, May 19th from 10:30AM until 1:30 PM. The rain date will be Friday, May 20th. At this event, we will be joined by Vermont dignitaries in presenting annual awards for First Responder Service of the Year, Ambulance Service of the Year, BLS Provider of the Year, ALS Provider of the Year, and EMS Educator of the Year, EMS for Children Champion 2016, and the EMS Lifetime Award.

This year’s EMS week theme is EMS Strong: Call to Care  Learn more about National EMS week through the American College of Emergency Physicians.
